Every tool in the catalog carries a status so you know what you can rely on. Active means ready, beta means usable but newer, and coming soon means it is on the way but cannot be used yet.
The tools catalog is bigger than the set of tools you can activate today. Every entry carries a status, so you can tell at a glance what is dependable, what is new, and what is on the way: useful when you are planning which procedures to automate next.
Active and beta
Active tools are the dependable core: connect them, use them in spells, hand them to the Familiar. Beta tools are fully usable end to end, just newer: expect their action sets to grow and sharpen, and tell us when one misbehaves. Both connect the same way; see Connect your tools.
What coming soon means
A coming-soon tool is a commitment, not a connection. It appears in the catalog so you can plan around it, and a template may already reference it as a planned tool, but it cannot be activated and it can never be selected into a spell until it goes live. Nothing in your automation can silently depend on a tool that does not exist yet; when it ships, it simply becomes connectable and the planned chips wake up.
Requesting a tool
Coming-soon entries carry a one-click way to tell us your team needs that tool, and those signals feed directly into what gets built next. If the tool you need is not in the catalog at all, you have two paths: ask us for it, or bring your own tool today through an MCP server, which makes its capabilities available to spells and the Familiar like any first-party tool.
